after going through a painful divorce from a 27 year marriage, some friends took me to israel. we visited caesarea where paul had been imprisoned by king herod for preaching the gospel of Christ in the synagogues. i looked down and saw this stone in the shape of a heart that looked like a jeweler had hammered.
when i picked up the stone, the Lord brought to my remembrance Ezekiel 36:26.
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
the Lord has healed me. i wish i could say i forgave instantly, but while seeking God, He healed and restored me. the closer i drew to Him, the sooner i was able to forgive. God steps in and does the impossible when we are not able.
i always want to say “yes” to God.
